## Long description

The 8Bitdo RET00917 wired arcade controller in purple is a compact, arcade-style gamepad designed for PC and Nintendo Switch. It features a traditional joystick and responsive arcade buttons to deliver precise directional control and crisp inputs for fighting games, beat 'em ups and other retro-style titles. The wired USB connection provides plug-and-play compatibility on supported systems, offering a stable, low-latency link for casual competitive play and home arcade setups.
Advantages
The controller provides accurate analog-like directional control with a classic ball-top joystick and high-actuation arcade buttons that reduce input delay. Its wired USB interface eliminates battery management and potential wireless interference, while the compact layout saves desktop space and simplifies transport between gaming stations. The purple finish makes the unit easy to identify on a desk or shelf without affecting functionality.
Suitable for
Fighting games that require precise directional and rapid button inputs
Beat 'em up and retro arcade titles
Local casual competition and training sessions
Home arcade cabinets and desktop setups
Key specifications

Controller style: Arcade layout with joystick and multiple face buttons
Buttons: High-actuation arcade-style buttons designed for rapid presses
Color: Purple housing and controls
Compatibility: Designed for use with PC and Nintendo Switch
How to use
Connect the controller to a compatible device using the USB cable; the system should detect it automatically on supported platforms. Use the joystick for directional input and the arcade buttons for actions and combos according to game controls. Configure button mapping in-game or via system settings if needed to match personal preferences or specific game requirements. Ensure the connected platform is powered on and any necessary input settings are enabled before launching a game.
Usage recommendations
For optimal performance, connect directly to a host USB port rather than through an unpowered hub. Keep the controller and cable free of dust and liquids; clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. When using for extended sessions, adjust in-game deadzone and sensitivity settings as needed to match the arcade joystick response.
