The reader’s design focuses on reliable contact-card reading and compatibility with common authentication and eID workflows.

Secure authentication and login with contact smart cards
Digital signature creation and document signing workflows
Government eID and citizen identification systems that use contact cards
Secure access control for corporate desktops and workstations
Software and services that require CCID-compliant smartcard readers
Key specifications
Interface: USB connection for data and power
Compliance: CCID-standard smartcard reader
Card type: Contact smart cards (ISO/IEC compliant contact cards)
Form factor: Compact desktop USB reader
Compatibility: Works with systems supporting CCID drivers and standard smartcard middleware
How to use
Connect the reader to an available USB port on your computer; the device is designed to use standard CCID drivers for plug-and-play operation on compatible operating systems. Insert the contact smart card into the card slot with the chip facing the correct orientation until it seats securely. Access the card through your authentication, eID, or signing application to perform login, cryptographic operations or to read card data. Remove the card after the application indicates it is safe to do so.
Usage recommendations
For reliable operation, use a stable USB port and ensure your operating system or middleware provides CCID support. Keep contact card chip surfaces clean and avoid inserting cards at an angle. For environments requiring frequent use, place the reader on a flat, stable surface to prevent accidental disconnection.
