## Summary description

## Long description

The Alphacool 17217 Brass Black fitting is a metal connector intended for use in custom computer liquid cooling loops. Constructed from brass with a black finish, the fitting is designed to provide a durable and corrosion-resistant connection. With an insertion depth of 32.2 mm and an outer diameter of 1.8 cm, it is sized to integrate with standard tubing and compression components used in PC water-cooling assemblies.
Advantages
The brass construction offers mechanical strength and reliable corrosion resistance compared with softer metals or plastics, while the black finish provides a neutral appearance that blends with common PC component aesthetics. The specified depth and diameter ensure a stable seat for tubing and compression rings, helping to reduce the risk of leaks when installed correctly. The fitting's dimensions support consistent flow characteristics within a cooling loop without introducing significant restriction.
Suitable for
 Custom PC liquid cooling loops
Replacement or upgrade of existing brass fittings in cooling systems
Builds requiring a black-finished metal connector for aesthetic consistency
Cooling setups using tubing compatible with a 1.8 cm outer diameter
Key specifications
 Material: Brass with black finish
 Insertion depth: 32.2 mm
 Outer diameter: 1.8 cm
Surface: Coated black for appearance and basic surface protection
How to use
Ensure system power is off and the loop is drained before installing the fitting. Slide the compatible tubing onto the fitting to the specified depth, position any compression rings or clamps according to the compression fitting design, and tighten evenly to achieve a secure seal. After installation, perform a pressure or leak test using distilled water or an approved coolant, monitoring all connections for any signs of leakage before restoring full system operation.
Usage recommendations
Prior to installation, verify tubing inner and outer diameters for compatibility and follow the cooling system manufacturer's guidelines for torque and clamp placement. Periodically inspect fittings for signs of corrosion or loosening and replace if damage or persistent leaks are observed.
