The Ansmann 1300-0017 is a rechargeable Lithium‑Ion 3.6V battery in 16340 size with an integrated safety circuit. The built‑in protection board guards the cell against overload, short circuit and deep discharge, extending service life. Compared with conventional NiMH cells, this Li‑Ion battery delivers roughly double the energy density at the same size while remaining lightweight and offering low self‑discharge and high cycle stability. Note: due to the protection board the battery is approximately 3–4 mm longer than unprotected 16340 / RCR123 cells.
