The ANSMANN 1314-0005 D-size rechargeable lithium-ion battery offers a USB-C rechargeable alternative to disposable 1.5 V alkaline cells and 1.2 V NiMH accumulators. Integrated electronics protect the cell from overcharge, overload, short circuit and deep discharge, while ensuring a stable output voltage for most of the battery’s operating time. The battery is supplied in blister packaging and includes a USB-C cable for direct charging.
Advantages
The battery provides a constant 1.5 V output over approximately 95% of its runtime thanks to built-in electronics; when capacity falls to about 5% the voltage is reduced to 1.1 V to indicate replacement. It is rechargeable up to about 1200 cycles, has low self-discharge and weighs less than comparable NiMH or lead-based cells. The integrated USB-C port allows charging without an external charger, and the status indicator on the positive terminal flashes during charging and lights steadily when charging is complete. The cell also operates reliably over a wide temperature range from -20°C to +60°C.
