By adding one AXIS T8129 for each additional 100 m (328 ft) of cable, both Ethernet connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) can be extended to larger distances depending on the camera model and power source. The unit does not require an external power supply; the connected network camera is powered from a single PoE switch or midspan, which simplifies installation.
