AXIS T8129 extends Ethernet and PoE beyond the standard 100 m (328 ft) limit, allowing Axis network video products to be installed at greater distances. By adding one AXIS T8129 for each additional 100 m (328 ft) of cable, both data and power can be carried further depending on the connected camera model and power source. The unit draws power from a single PoE switch or midspan and does not require a separate power supply, simplifying installation. It provides two Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports with automatic configuration of link speed, duplex and crossover while maintaining full-rate network throughput.
