## Long description

The Bahco P-MEC charcoal pencil weighs 37 g and is designed for precise drawing and sketching. Its high-quality graphite core produces smooth application and rich dark lines, providing consistent tone for both quick studies and detailed work. The pencil's weight and balance support controlled strokes, and the core sharpens cleanly to maintain fine points for detailing.
Advantages
Bahco P-MEC offers a stable feel in the hand due to its stated 37 g weight, which aids precision while sketching or outlining. The charcoal formulation delivers deep, uniform black marks with minimal breakage, and the graphite-like core allows smooth layering and blending. Its ease of sharpening preserves a fine tip for accurate line work and cross-hatching.
Suitable for
 Detailed sketching and line work
Figure studies and quick tonal sketches
Architectural and product drawing where precise dark lines are required
Mixed-media work combining charcoal with ink or graphite
Key specifications
 Product type: charcoal pencil
 Weight: 37 g
Core: high-quality dark core suitable for rich black lines and smooth application
Sharpenability: designed to sharpen cleanly for fine points
Grip and balance: balanced for controlled strokes and precise handling
How to use
Hold the Bahco P-MEC charcoal pencil at different angles to achieve varied line widths and tonal effects: use the tip for precise, thin lines and the side of the core for broader shading. Sharpen as needed with a suitable pencil sharpener or craft knife to maintain a fine point for detail work. Layer strokes lightly when building tones, and blend with a stump or finger for smooth transitions; erase selectively with a kneaded eraser to lift highlights.
Usage recommendations
Store the pencil in a dry place to preserve the core quality. When working on finished pieces, fixative spray can be applied sparingly to reduce smudging. Pair the Bahco P-MEC with quality sketch paper for best contrast and control.
