## Summary description

Basil Cove double pannier bag, capacity 28–32 L, designed for bicycle use with integrated MIK mounting system (ready to go). Features dual compartments for cargo separation, water-resistant fabric, reflective accents and quick-attach MIK adapter for secure mounting on compatible racks. Suitable for commuting, shopping and touring.

## Long description

The Basil Cove double pannier bag offers a practical solution for cyclists who need organised cargo space. With a combined capacity of 28–32 litres, water-resistant fabric and an integrated MIK mounting system (ready to go), this silvergreen/black pannier is designed to fasten securely to compatible racks while keeping items separated in two main compartments. Reflective accents improve visibility in low light and the quick-attach MIK adapter allows easy mounting and removal for everyday use.
Advantages
The double pannier provides two separate compartments that help keep wet and dry items or different types of purchases apart. Water-resistant material protects contents from light rain, while the MIK system ensures a firm, vibration-resistant connection to racks that support the MIK standard. Reflective details support safer riding in reduced visibility and the compact, streamlined shape maintains balance and clearance when mounted on most rear racks.
Suitable for
Daily commuting and transporting work or study items
 Grocery shopping and market runs
Short to medium-length bike tours and weekend trips
Carrying sports or gym clothes and accessories
When it may not be suitable
This pannier is not intended for heavy off-road use or extreme weather protection; its water-resistant fabric resists light rain but is not fully waterproof for prolonged submersion or very heavy downpours. Riders who require very high-volume cargo capacity or specialised equipment storage (e.g., large camping gear or fragile professional instruments) may need larger or purpose-built luggage systems.
Key specifications
 Total capacity: 28–32 litres
Construction: double compartment pannier (two main pockets)
Mounting: integrated MIK quick-attach adapter (ready to go)
 Material properties: water-resistant fabric
Visibility: reflective accents for low-light conditions
 Colour: silvergreen/black
How to use
Place items into the two compartments according to weight and size to balance the load between both sides of the bike. Align the MIK adapter with a compatible rear rack and push down until the adapter clicks into place; verify the connection before riding. To remove, release the adapter mechanism following the rack manufacturer’s instructions and lift the pannier away. Wipe the outer fabric with a damp cloth to clean and allow to air dry; avoid machine washing or tumble drying to preserve the water-resistant treatment.
What to consider before purchase
Check that your rear rack is compatible with the MIK mounting system
Confirm the 28–32 L capacity meets your typical cargo needs
Consider whether you need fully waterproof luggage for heavy rain
Ensure the pannier dimensions fit within your rack and do not interfere with wheels or brakes
Usage recommendations
Distribute weight evenly between left and right panniers, secure loose items inside the compartments, and periodically inspect mounting points and reflective elements for wear to maintain safe, reliable use.
