## Summary description

Bosch CYL-9 Soft Ceramic Tile Drill Bit with a diameter of 7 mm and a working length of 80 mm. Designed for precise drilling in soft ceramic tiles and glass without impact. Ideal for professional and household renovation projects requiring clean holes.

## Long description

The Bosch CYL-9 Soft Ceramic Tile Drill Bit 7x80 mm is engineered for accurate and clean drilling applications in delicate materials. Featuring a diameter of 7 mm and a total working length of 80 mm, this drill bit is specifically constructed to handle soft ceramic tiles and glass without causing cracks or surface damage. It operates entirely without impact, ensuring structural integrity and precise hole formation for both professional contractors and DIY users engaged in home improvement and renovation tasks.
Advantages
This Bosch drill bit delivers exceptional precision when working with brittle materials due to its specialized tip design. The absence of impact drilling prevents the material from shattering, resulting in clean edges and reduced finishing time. Built for reliability, the accessory maintains stability during operation, providing consistent performance across various household and job site renovation projects.
Suitable for
Drilling holes in soft ceramic tiles
Working with glass surfaces without impact
Bathroom and kitchen installation projects
Renovation and interior finishing tasks
When it may not be suitable
This drill bit is not designed for drilling in hard porcelain stoneware, granite, or highly abrasive natural stones. Additionally, it must not be used with hammer drill modes, as impact force will damage both the bit and the work piece.
Key specifications
Bit diameter: 7 mm
Working length: 80 mm
Material application: Soft ceramic tiles and glass
Drilling method: Rotary, without impact
How to use
Begin by marking the exact drilling spot on the tile or glass surface to prevent the bit from slipping. Set your power tool to standard rotary mode and disable any hammer or impact function. Apply light, steady pressure and use a low rotational speed during initial penetration. Keep the contact area cooled with water if recommended for the specific tile type to extend the lifespan of the cutting edge and ensure a clean result.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your drilling tool supports standard rotary-only operation without impact
Confirm that the 7 mm diameter matches your specific fastener or installation requirements
Ensure the target material is soft ceramic or glass rather than hard porcelain
Usage recommendations: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, when drilling into tiles or glass. Maintain a steady, low-pressure approach and avoid lateral force to prevent tool breakage.
