The Brodit 550888 passive charging cradle is a lockable holder designed for Tablets and UMPCs with rugged frames, with or without an expansion module or handstrap. It provides a custom fit, robust construction and full access to the camera, buttons and ports while keeping the device securely positioned. The cradle includes two keys and can be mounted to any flat surface or to a Pedestal Mount in vehicles, warehouses or distribution environments. It features predrilled AMPS and VESA holes and is made in Sweden from high-grade ABS and Acetal plastics in black.
Advantages
The holder offers an extra robust design with a mechanical lock (two keys included) for secure retention, while maintaining access to the device’s camera, controls and connectors. It supports both USB data connection and pogo-pin charging via an internal connector and provides DC power input for use with external power cables. How to use

Close and lock the holder; two keys are supplied for removal. For charging, connect an appropriate external power supply to the cradle’s DC input (power supply not included) so the device charges via the pogo-pin connection. Use the USB connector when a data connection is required.
Usage recommendations
Do not install the holder on a vehicle dashboard if it obstructs the driver’s view or key controls.
