## Long description

Buff Merino Heavyweight Over The Calf socks in size 39–41 are designed for cold-weather wear with full calf coverage and a heavyweight knit. Made primarily from merino wool, these socks provide temperature regulation and natural moisture management to keep feet warm and dry during prolonged activity. The over-the-calf length offers added protection and stability under boots while the cushioned construction reduces pressure and increases comfort for hiking, outdoor work, and everyday use in low temperatures.
Advantages
These heavyweight merino socks combine insulating properties of natural wool with a cushioned sole and reinforced areas to improve durability and foot support. The material blend promotes breathability and odor resistance, while the over-the-calf design helps maintain warmth along the lower leg and prevents slippage inside footwear. Flat seams at the toe and anatomic shaping reduce friction and improve fit for extended wear.
Suitable for
Hiking and trekking in cold conditions
Outdoor work and winter chores
Everyday wear with boots or high shoes
Multi-day trips and cold-weather travel

How to use
Select the correct size (39–41) and pull the sock up to cover the calf for full thermal protection. Pair with appropriately sized boots or shoes to ensure the cuff stays in place. For active use, allow a small amount of room in the toe box to accommodate natural foot movement and circulation. Follow garment care instructions printed on the label to preserve the merino properties and the cushioning structure.
Usage recommendations
For best performance, wear these merino heavyweight socks as part of a layered approach: use breathable base socks or liners if you need extra moisture management during high-output activities and choose footwear with adequate insulation and fit. Wash on a gentle cycle or by hand with mild detergent and dry flat away from direct heat to maintain shape and wool performance.
