## Summary description

Catit Zoo Scratcher Goryl is a cardboard cat scratcher with a 2-in-1 design providing a corrugated scratching surface to satisfy natural scratching behaviour and help protect furniture. Suitable for everyday use, it encourages exercise and claw maintenance and can be placed in living areas or near resting spots to redirect cats from household items.

## Long description

Catit cardboard cat scratcher Zoo Scratcher Goryl is a corrugated scratching surface designed to satisfy a cat's instinctive need to scratch while helping to protect furniture. The 2-in-1 design offers a stable base and a replaceable corrugated insert that provides textural resistance for claw maintenance and light exercise. Compact and lightweight, this model fits in living rooms, near resting places, or in multi-cat households where durable, everyday scratching options are useful.
Advantages
The Zoo Scratcher Goryl combines a sturdy cardboard base with a textured corrugated surface that absorbs scratching wear and can be rotated or replaced to extend the product's usable life. Its neutral shape and size make it easy to position in common cat activity zones, encouraging natural stretching and clawing without taking up excessive floor space. The materials are recyclable, making the product a low-weight, low-cost option for routine claw care and redirection from furniture.
Suitable for
Indoor cats that need a regular scratching surface
Households aiming to protect furniture and soft furnishings
Owners who prefer lightweight, recyclable cat accessories
Multi-cat homes where several animals need easily accessible scratchers
When it may not be suitable
This cardboard scratcher is intended for daily, moderate-use scratching; it may wear faster under heavy or very frequent use by large or highly active cats. It does not provide vertical scratching surfaces for cats that prefer to stretch upright, and it is not a substitute for multi-level cat trees or climbing posts when those are required for exercise and territory marking.
Key specifications
Material: corrugated cardboard scratching surface with cardboard base
Design: 2-in-1 with replaceable or rotatable corrugated insert
 Dimensions (approx.): 36 x 22.5 x 38 cm
Weight: lightweight and easy to move
Intended use: indoor scratching, claw maintenance, and light exercise
How to use
Place the Catit Zoo Scratcher Goryl on a flat surface in an area where the cat spends time, such as near a bed, window, or sofa. Encourage initial use by rubbing a small amount of catnip onto the corrugated surface or by demonstrating with a toy. Rotate or replace the corrugated insert when it becomes significantly worn to maintain an effective scratching texture. Keep the scratcher dry and replace it when structural integrity is compromised.
What to consider before purchase
Whether your cat prefers horizontal or vertical scratching surfaces
Frequency and intensity of scratching by your cat(s)
Available floor space and where you plan to place the scratcher
 Preference for recyclable, lightweight materials
Usage recommendations
For best results, position the scratcher near areas your cat already uses and replace the corrugated insert when worn. Combine with other scratching options if your cat prefers vertical scratching or requires more climbing space.
