## Long description

The Cedrus Casström No.8 SFK is a high-performance fixed-blade knife engineered for demanding outdoor environments, bushcraft activities, and survival scenarios. This tool combines a premium 14C28N stainless steel blade with a rugged construction to ensure reliability during intensive field use. The ergonomic handle, manufactured from black Micarta, offers a superior grip that remains stable even in wet or cold conditions, making it a dependable companion for wilderness exploration.
Advantages
The primary strength of this knife lies in its high-quality blade material, which provides an optimal balance between edge retention and corrosion resistance. The full-tang construction enhances the overall structural integrity of the tool, allowing it to withstand significant pressure during heavy-duty tasks. Furthermore, the Micarta handle material is highly resistant to moisture and temperature fluctuations, ensuring that the knife remains comfortable and secure in the hand throughout prolonged use.
Suitable for
Bushcraft and wilderness survival tasks
Camping and hiking expeditions
General utility work and wood processing
Outdoor food preparation
This knife may not be the ideal choice for tasks requiring extreme precision or delicate carving, as its robust geometry is optimized for durability rather than fine detail work. Additionally, users who prefer lightweight folding knives for everyday carry in urban environments might find the fixed-blade design and sheath requirements less convenient for daily pocket storage.
Key specifications
Blade material: 14C28N stainless steel
Handle material: Black Micarta
Blade type: Fixed blade
Construction: Full-tang
To use the Cedrus Casström No.8 SFK, ensure the knife is securely drawn from its sheath by gripping the handle firmly. When performing cutting tasks, always direct the blade away from your body and maintain a stable stance. After use, wipe the blade clean of moisture and debris before returning it to the sheath to prevent potential corrosion or damage to the edge.
What to consider before purchase
Check local regulations regarding the carry of fixed-blade knives in public spaces
Consider the maintenance requirements for high-carbon stainless steel
Ensure the handle size is compatible with your grip preference
For optimal longevity, keep the blade dry and clean after every use and periodically apply a light coat of mineral oil to the steel. Regularly inspect the handle scales and sheath to ensure all components remain in good condition for safe operation.
