## Long description

CERESIT CX5 installation cement is formulated for quick anchoring and fixing of steel and plastic elements in brickwork and concrete. It is also suitable for filling cracks, holes and small cavities up to 20 mm wide, and for fixing inserts. The product is supplied in a 5 kg pack and is intended for use where rapid setting and water resistance are required.
Advantages
CX5 hardens quickly and provides water-resistant, chloride-free performance. The mortar does not crack and offers frost resistance for outdoor or cold-environment applications. Typical consumption is approximately 1.6 kg per dm³.

How to use
Surface must be solid, load-bearing, clean and free of substances that impair adhesion. Pre-wet the substrate thoroughly without allowing standing water. Pour CX5 into clean, clear water and mix until lump-free. Mixing ratios by volume: for a plastic consistency mix 3 parts CX5 to 1 part water; for a pourable consistency mix 2 parts CX5 to 1 part water. When working over large areas, CX5 may be extended with clean quartz sand of mixed grain size in a 1:1 ratio to reduce cost. Use the mixed mortar within the indicated working time (about 4 minutes) and avoid overmixing.
Usage recommendations
Apply the mixed mortar within the specified working time (approx. 4 minutes). Do not allow water to pool on the prepared surface and ensure the substrate is pre-wetted but not saturated. Follow safety and handling instructions on the manufacturer label.
