Universal automatic click-clack basin waste plug by Cersanit in brushed gold. Designed for easy water retention and drainage in bathroom washbasins. Features a convenient push-to-open mechanism and a stylish brushed gold finish that complements modern bathroom fixtures and sanitaryware fittings.

## Long description

The Cersanit Universal Click-Clack Basin Waste Plug in brushed gold is an essential plumbing accessory designed for reliable water retention and efficient drainage in bathroom washbasins. Featuring a modern automatic push-to-open mechanism, this click-clack waste plug allows users to easily open and close the drain with a simple press. The elegant brushed gold finish adds a touch of sophistication, making it a perfect match for contemporary bathroom fixtures, faucets, and other sanitaryware fittings.
Advantages
This universal basin waste plug offers seamless daily operation thanks to its intuitive click-clack mechanism, eliminating the need for traditional pull rods or chains. The high-quality brushed gold coating provides resistance against daily wear and standard cleaning routines, ensuring long-lasting aesthetic appeal. Its universal design ensures wide compatibility with standard bathroom washbasins equipped with or without an overflow system, simplifying the installation process for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.
Suitable for
Modern residential bathrooms and guest toilets
Washbasins with or without an integrated overflow
Pairing with brushed gold faucets and bathroom accessories
Quick replacement of worn or outdated basin waste plugs
When it may not be suitable
This automatic waste plug is not designed for kitchen sinks, bathtubs, or utility tubs that require specialized drain assemblies or larger connection diameters. It may also clash visually in bathrooms that exclusively feature chrome, matte black, or brushed nickel hardware without any gold accents.
Key specifications
Product type: Automatic click-clack basin waste plug
Brand: Cersanit
Operation mechanism: Push-to-open
Finish: Brushed gold
How to use
To use the click-clack waste plug, simply press down on the top cap to seal the drain and retain water in the basin. Press the cap down a second time to release the seal and allow the water to drain out completely. For cleaning and maintenance, the top mechanism can typically be unscrewed or removed to clear out accumulated hair and debris from the waste pipe.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your washbasin has a standard drain hole diameter compatible with universal basin wastes
Check your existing bathroom fixtures to ensure the brushed gold finish matches your faucets and hardware
Confirm whether your basin requires a slotted or unslotted waste model depending on the presence of an overflow
Usage recommendations: Clean the brushed gold surface regularly using a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive soap to preserve the finish. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, bleach, or abrasive scouring pads, as these can permanently damage the decorative coating.
