The BELL® P-39D AIRACOBRA® was an American single-engine fighter from World War II with metal construction, a low-wing tail configuration and a tricycle undercarriage. Produced between 1940 and 1944, the aircraft was noted for its high top speed and strong low-altitude performance that made it effective in ground-attack roles; American and Soviet operators used the Airacobra against German tanks and other ground targets. This 1:32 scale building set recreates the P-39D AIRACOBRA® using 361 COBI construction blocks and reproduces historical American olive markings.
