## Long description

The Comap Airfix A expansion vessel is a high-quality component engineered specifically for domestic hot water systems. With a 50-liter capacity, this vessel is designed to absorb the expansion of water caused by temperature fluctuations, thereby protecting the plumbing system from excessive pressure buildup. Its robust construction and reliable performance make it an essential element for maintaining the integrity and longevity of residential water heating installations.
Advantages
This expansion vessel offers significant benefits for domestic water systems by effectively managing pressure variations that occur during heating cycles. By maintaining a stable pressure, it prevents unnecessary stress on pipes, valves, and water heaters, which helps to avoid leaks and premature component failure. The unit is built with durable materials that ensure consistent operation over time, providing peace of mind for homeowners and professional installers alike.
Suitable for
Domestic hot water heating systems
Residential water supply installations
Systems requiring pressure stabilization for water heaters
This vessel may not be suitable for large-scale industrial heating systems or commercial applications that exceed its 50-liter capacity or 10-bar maximum pressure rating. It is also not intended for use with non-potable fluids or chemical-heavy water mixtures that could compromise the internal diaphragm.
Key specifications
Capacity: 50 liters
Pre-charge pressure: 4 bar
Maximum operating pressure: 10 bar
Connection size: 3/4 inch
Color: White
Installation should be performed by a qualified professional to ensure the system is correctly integrated into the existing plumbing. The vessel must be connected to the cold water supply line of the water heater, typically between the shut-off valve and the heater itself. Ensure that the system pressure is checked and adjusted according to the specific requirements of the installation during the setup process.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that the 50-liter capacity is sufficient for your specific water heating system volume.
Ensure the 3/4-inch connection is compatible with your existing piping.
Confirm that the 4 bar pre-charge pressure aligns with your system's operational needs.
Check the available space for installation, considering the dimensions of a 50-liter tank.
Usage recommendations
Regular maintenance and periodic inspection of the pre-charge pressure are recommended to ensure the expansion vessel continues to function correctly and protects the system from pressure surges.
