## Long description

The Comap Airfix A 80L expansion vessel is a high-quality component engineered specifically for domestic hot water systems. With a generous 80-liter capacity and a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar, this vessel effectively manages pressure fluctuations caused by thermal expansion in water heating installations. Its durable construction and white finish ensure it integrates seamlessly into residential and commercial setups, providing essential protection for your plumbing system by preventing excessive pressure buildup.
Advantages
This expansion vessel offers superior reliability by maintaining consistent pressure levels within the hot water circuit, which significantly reduces the mechanical stress on pipes, valves, and heating equipment. By absorbing the excess volume of water as it heats, the device prevents the activation of safety relief valves, thereby conserving water and energy. The robust design ensures a long service life, making it a dependable solution for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of modern hot water heating systems.
Suitable for
Domestic hot water heating systems
Residential water supply installations
Commercial hot water applications
Systems requiring pressure stabilization up to 10 bar
This vessel is not suitable for use in closed-loop central heating systems that utilize glycol or other chemical additives, as it is specifically designed for potable water applications. Additionally, it should not be installed in systems where the operating pressure consistently exceeds the 10 bar threshold, as this could compromise the structural integrity of the unit.
Key specifications
Capacity: 80 liters
Maximum operating pressure: 10 bar
Connection size: 3/4 inch
Color: White
Application: Domestic hot water
Installation should be performed by a qualified professional to ensure the system is correctly pressurized and integrated into the existing plumbing. The vessel is typically installed on the cold water supply line leading to the water heater. Ensure that the pre-charge pressure is adjusted according to the specific requirements of your heating system before final commissioning.
What to consider before purchase
Verify the total volume of your hot water system to ensure an 80-liter capacity is sufficient.
Check the available space in your utility room for the physical dimensions of the vessel.
Ensure the 3/4 inch connection is compatible with your existing pipework.
Confirm that the maximum pressure rating of 10 bar meets your system requirements.
Regularly inspect the expansion vessel during annual maintenance checks to ensure the pre-charge pressure remains within the manufacturer's recommended range for optimal performance.
