## Summary description

Compression coupling Comap P240L2616 made of PPSU designed for reducing connection between 26×3 mm and 16×2 mm multilayer or PEX pipes. Provides a push-to-press style transition for plumbing systems, supporting reliable mechanical seal and flow continuity. Suitable for potable water and heating installations where a stepped reduction is required.

## Long description

Compression coupling Comap P240L2616 for multilayer/PEX pipes is a PPSU reducing fitting designed to join a 26×3 mm pipe to a 16×2 mm pipe. The fitting provides a compact stepped transition that maintains flow continuity and a secure mechanical seal without soldering or adhesive. Constructed from durable PPSU, the coupling is intended for potable water and heating installations where a reliable reduction in pipe diameter is required.
Advantages
The PPSU construction offers high mechanical strength and resistance to temperature fluctuations, ensuring long-term dimensional stability in plumbing systems. The compression-style connection simplifies installation by providing a tight mechanical seal around both pipe sizes, eliminating the need for fusion or threaded adapters. The compact, low-profile design reduces space requirements in installations where a stepped reduction is necessary.
Suitable for
Reducing a 26×3 mm multilayer or PEX pipe to a 16×2 mm multilayer or PEX pipe
Potable water distribution systems
Domestic and commercial heating circuits
Tight spaces where a low-profile stepped connection is needed
Key specifications
Material: PPSU (polyphenylsulfone)
Inlet pipe size: 26×3 mm (multilayer/PEX)
Outlet pipe size: 16×2 mm (multilayer/PEX)
Connection type: compression reducing coupling
Application: potable water and heating systems
Installation method: push-to-press style mechanical seal
How to use
Cut pipes squarely and deburr the ends before installation. Slide the compression components onto each pipe end as required, then insert the pipe fully into each side of the coupling until it seats. Engage the compression mechanism according to the fitting design to create a secure mechanical seal. After assembly, verify alignment and check for leaks by pressurizing the system following local codes and recommended test pressures.
Usage recommendations
Use only with compatible multilayer or PEX pipes of the specified dimensions. Ensure pipe surfaces are clean and free of debris prior to connection. For installations in heating systems, follow system manufacturer guidelines for maximum operating temperature and pressure. If a permanent, soldered or glued joint is required for your application, select an alternative fitting type. Periodically inspect connections for signs of wear or leakage as part of routine system maintenance.
