## Long description

The Comdis i-tec MySafe MYSAFEU314 is an external storage enclosure designed to house a single 2.5-inch SATA, SATA II, or SATA III hard disk drive or solid-state drive. Featuring a clean white exterior, this compact device allows you to transform an internal drive into a portable external solution for flexible data management. It connects to host devices using a high-speed USB 3.0 interface and draws its power directly through the USB connection, eliminating the need for an external power adapter.
Advantages
This external case delivers convenient mobility and efficient data handling through its lightweight construction and bus-powered design. The integration of a fixed USB cable ensures you will never misplace the connection cord while on the move. Compatibility with SATA 6Gb/s drives and USB 3.0 technology enables rapid file transfers up to 5 Gbit/s, while maintaining backward compatibility with older USB ports. Furthermore, the automatic driver installation process ensures a hassle-free setup across various host systems.
Suitable for
Expanding storage capacity for laptops and desktop computers
Creating portable backups of important personal and professional files
Accessing data from internal drives salvaged from damaged notebooks
Connecting storage media to televisions and multimedia players
When it may not be suitable
This enclosure is not designed to accommodate larger 3.5-inch desktop hard drives or multiple drives simultaneously, as it is strictly sized for a single 2.5-inch form factor. Additionally, it may not meet the demands of users requiring specialized hardware-level data encryption features.

The operating system will automatically recognize the hardware and install the necessary drivers, allowing you to access your files immediately without manual software configuration.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your existing drive uses the 2.5-inch SATA interface before purchasing
