How to use
Connect the LAN IN RJ-45 port of the DPE-301GI to a non‑PoE switch or router using a standard Ethernet cable. Connect the PoE OUT port to the powered device (PD) — for example an access point, IP camera or VoIP phone — using a single Ethernet cable. Plug the injector into an AC power outlet (100–240 V). The injector can be placed anywhere along the Ethernet link but does not change the standard maximum cabling distance of 100 m (328 ft) between switch and PD.
Usage recommendations
Install the injector near the network switch or router for convenience and route Cat5e/Cat6 cabling to the powered device. For devices requiring higher power (up to 30 W), ensure the PD supports 802.3at. When a device is not PoE-capable, use the DPE-301GI together with a compatible PoE splitter (for example DPE-301GS) to deliver power and then separate data and low-voltage power at the device end.
