It supports data transfer rates up to 6 Gb/s and is downwards compatible with SATA 1.5 Gb/s and 3 Gb/s. The cable uses 26 AWG for the data line and 18 AWG for the power lines and includes four power wires: yellow (12 V), red (5 V) and black (GND).
