This Power Over eSATA to SATA 22‑pin cable (0.5 m) from DELOCK connects 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drives externally to any Power Over eSATA (eSATAp) port. The eSATAp connector combines eSATA and USB signal lines and provides power via two gold contacts, allowing the cable to supply 12 V to compatible ports so no separate power adapter is required for most 2.5" and 3.5" HDDs. The cable also works with 5 V eSATAp ports and will provide the appropriate 5 V for running 2.5" drives.
