## Long description

The DICOTA D32178 Silver Universal Keyed Cable Lock is designed to protect valuable office and portable equipment against theft. Featuring a durable steel cable and a reliable key locking mechanism, this security solution provides physical anchoring for hardware in dynamic environments such as offices, educational institutions, and public workspaces. The universal design accommodates various security slots, making it a flexible tool for securing multiple device types.
Advantages
This security cable offers high versatility through its adjustable lock head, which adapts to different standard slot types including T-Lock, Wedge, and Nano formats. The robust steel construction with a 4.4 mm diameter ensures reliable tensile strength for effective theft deterrence. Users benefit from a convenient push-to-lock function that allows fast, one-handed locking without a key. Additionally, the generous two-meter length provides flexible positioning options for connected hardware, while the included Velcro fastener enables compact storage during transport.
Suitable for
Securing laptops and notebooks in open-plan offices
Locking down external monitors at workstations
Protecting projectors in meeting rooms and classrooms
Anchoring printers and peripheral hardware in public spaces
When it may not be suitable
This cable lock is not suitable for devices that lack a compatible security slot in their housing. It may also be less practical in environments where key management is unfeasible or where a combination-based locking mechanism is preferred.

Wrap the steel cable securely around a fixed, immovable object such as a table leg or wall anchor. Insert the lock head into the device slot and push to engage the locking mechanism without using the key. To unlock the device, insert one of the provided keys, turn it to release the mechanism, and remove the lock head from the slot.
What to consider before purchase
Check if your device has a compatible T-Lock, Wedge, or Nano security slot
Determine whether a keyed locking system meets your operational needs
Assess the required cable length and anchoring points in your workspace
Usage recommendations: Store the cable using the attached Velcro strap when moving between locations to prevent tangling. Keep the spare key in a secure, separate location to prevent lockout situations.
