The cable features U/FTP (also referred to as STP) construction with aluminium-laminated foil around each pair and an overall braid, providing enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference. Both ends are terminated with gold-plated RJ-45 plugs and moulded-on kink protection. The cable is thin, flexible and designed for use in confined spaces such as data centres, patch panels and office LANs, and supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over short distances.
