## Long description

EGLO OPHÆNG E27 3M TEKSTILL. EG is a pendant lamp suspension kit for E27 screw-base lamps. The product includes an E27 socket and a 3-meter textile-covered cable designed to support a single pendant fitting. It is intended to provide a simple, flexible suspension solution for residential and commercial interiors where a single hanging lamp or customised pendant needs to be installed and routed from a ceiling point.
Advantages
The textile-covered cable offers an aesthetic finish that complements fabric, Scandinavian or contemporary interiors while concealing wiring. The E27 socket supports a wide range of bulb types and light sources, allowing users to select incandescent, LED or compact fluorescent lamps according to desired brightness and colour temperature. A 3 m cable length enables flexible placement and adjustable drop height without additional extensions.
Suitable for
Hanging a single pendant lamp or decorative light fixture
DIY lighting projects and custom pendant assemblies
Residential rooms such as living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms
Commercial spaces with individual pendant requirements like cafes or reception areas
When it may not be suitable
This suspension kit is designed for a single E27 lamp and is not suitable for multi-bulb chandeliers or fixtures that require integrated mounting hardware or complex electrical connectors. It does not include a light bulb, ceiling rose compatible with specialised mounting systems, or mounting accessories for heavy or irregularly shaped luminaires.
Key specifications
Socket type: E27 suitable for standard screw-base bulbs
Cable length: 3 metres, textile-covered cord
Intended use: single pendant suspension for indoor ceilings
Compatible bulb types: incandescent, LED, compact fluorescent (subject to bulb dimensions and wattage limits)
How to use
Turn off power at the circuit breaker before installation. Mount the ceiling rose or fixture base to a suitable ceiling point and connect the supply wires to the suspension kit’s conductors according to local electrical regulations, ensuring proper live, neutral and earth connections where required. Fit an appropriate E27 bulb into the socket and adjust the cord to the desired drop length before securing any excess cable. If unsure, engage a qualified electrician to perform the installation to ensure safety and compliance.
What to consider before purchase
Verify ceiling mounting type and whether additional mounting accessories are needed
Ensure bulb shape and wattage are compatible with the chosen lamp shade or fixture
Check local electrical regulations and whether professional installation is required
Confirm the textile finish and colour match the interior décor
Usage recommendations
Use LED bulbs with appropriate lumen output and colour temperature to maximise energy efficiency and reduce heat buildup. Measure the intended drop length before installation to avoid excess cord slack, and secure any exposed connections inside an approved ceiling rose or junction box.
