## Long description

The Equip DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI adapter cable enables a direct and reliable connection between a DisplayPort-equipped computer source and an HDMI-enabled display device such as a monitor, television, or projector. Measuring two meters in length, this cable provides sufficient reach for standard office setups and home entertainment systems. It facilitates the transmission of high-resolution video and audio signals without requiring external power adapters or software drivers, ensuring a straightforward setup process.
Advantages
This adapter cable supports high-definition video output up to 4K resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate, delivering sharp, detailed visual content and fluid motion during playback. The integration of gold-plated contacts on both male connectors helps to maintain signal stability and minimizes potential interference for consistent performance. Its unidirectional design ensures proper signal flow from the DisplayPort source to the HDMI screen, while the plug-and-play functionality allows for immediate use straight out of the box.
Suitable for
Connecting a DisplayPort desktop computer or laptop to an HDMI monitor
Setting up dual-display workstations in office environments
Connecting a PC to a living room TV for home theater use
Presentations in meeting rooms and classrooms using projectors with HDMI inputs
When it may not be suitable
This cable is unidirectional and only transmits signals from a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display, meaning it will not work in reverse from an HDMI source to a DisplayPort monitor. Additionally, it is not designed to convert HDMI signals to DisplayPort or to function as a standard HDMI-to-HDMI connection cable.
Key specifications
Connector 1: DisplayPort Male
Connector 2: HDMI Male
Cable length: 2 m
Maximum resolution: 3840 x 2160 pixels at 60 Hz
Product colour: Black
Connector contacts: Gold-plated
How to use
To use the adapter cable, connect the DisplayPort male end directly to the video output port of your computer, graphics card, or laptop. Next, plug the HDMI male end into the corresponding input port on your television, computer monitor, or projector. Ensure that your display source is set to the correct HDMI input channel. The connection establishes automatically without the need for manual driver installation or external power sources.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your computer or source device features a standard DisplayPort output port.
Check that your display device is equipped with an HDMI input port.
Confirm that the two-meter cable length is adequate for the physical distance between your source device and display.
Remember that this cable transmits video in one direction only, from DisplayPort to HDMI.
Usage recommendations: Handle the cable with care by gripping the connector housings rather than pulling directly on the cord when plugging and unplugging. Avoid tightly coiling or bending the cable at sharp angles to maintain optimal signal transmission over time.
