USB 2.0 CD-ROM Sharing Cable Equip 133339
The equip USB 2.0 ODD Sharing Cable (USB 2.0 CD-ROM Sharing Cable Equip 133339) enables two computers to share a single CD-ROM/optical drive. Designed for systems without built-in optical drives—such as netbooks and tablet PCs—the cable provides a direct connection to access files and folders on the optical drive without installing additional drivers.
The cable supports USB 2.0 data transfer up to 0.48 Gbit/s and features USB A male connectors on both ends. With a 1.8 m length and durable black design, it offers a convenient, plug-and-play method to share a CD-ROM drive between two devices. No driver installation is required for basic file access and media playback.
Connect one end of the USB A cable to the computer that has the optical (CD/DVD) drive and the other end to the secondary computer. After connecting, open the optical drive on the host computer and follow on-screen instructions if prompted; in most cases the secondary computer will be able to browse files and play media directly without installing drivers. Ensure the host computer remains powered on and the drive stays mounted while sharing.
Use this cable for temporary sharing and data transfer tasks. For prolonged or simultaneous multi-user access, consider a network-shared optical drive or an external USB optical drive to avoid potential access conflicts and to ensure stable performance.
