## Long description

The Equip DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI Active Adapter 8K 60Hz 0.15m Black Grey Gold-plated contacts is engineered to seamlessly link your DisplayPort-enabled desktop PC or laptop to an HDMI monitor, television, or projector. This active video adapter provides exceptional signal conversion, allowing you to experience breathtaking ultra-high-definition visuals with remarkable clarity and precision.
Advantages
This adapter stands out through its robust active conversion technology, which ensures flawless transmission of high-bandwidth signals without requiring any external power source or software installation. The inclusion of durable aluminum housing protects internal components while enhancing heat dissipation, and the premium gold-plated contacts resist corrosion to maintain optimal electrical conductivity over prolonged use. Its compact 0.15-meter cable design minimizes clutter at your workstation while offering the necessary flexibility to prevent strain on your device ports.
Suitable for
Connecting a DisplayPort computer to an HDMI monitor for office work
Streaming protected ultra-high-definition content from modern PCs to televisions
Setting up multi-display presentations using projectors with HDMI inputs
Extending or mirroring a desktop workspace onto a larger screen
When it may not be suitable
This product will not function in reverse configurations, meaning it cannot transmit an HDMI source signal to a DisplayPort display. Additionally, it is not designed for legacy video standards that lack compatibility with high-bandwidth active conversion protocols.

How to use
Connect the DisplayPort male end of the adapter directly into the video output port of your source computer or laptop. Next, attach a standard HDMI cable from your external display into the HDMI female port of the adapter. The plug-and-play functionality will instantly recognize the connection without needing drivers or external adapters.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your source device features a compatible DisplayPort output
Confirm that your display equipment supports the desired resolution and refresh rate
Ensure the direction of conversion aligns with a DisplayPort to HDMI workflow
For best results, avoid bending the cable sharply near the connector joints and ensure all connections are fully inserted to maintain stable signal transmission.
