## Long description

The Extralink ELT2500 is an electric wood chipper/shredder powered by a 2500W motor, designed for processing garden branches and green waste in home and small-scale settings. It reduces pruned twigs and lightweight woody material into chips suitable for composting, mulching or easier disposal. The unit is intended for typical residential use where noise, portability and simple operation are priorities.
Advantages
The Extralink ELT2500 combines a high-power electric motor with a compact form factor to deliver effective shredding of small-to-medium branches and garden debris. Its electric drive provides consistent torque without the maintenance needs of petrol models, and the resulting wood chips are suitable for use in garden beds or compost bins. The design focuses on straightforward operation and safe feeding of material for domestic users.
Suitable for
Shredding pruned branches and twigs from trees and shrubs
Reducing garden green waste for composting or mulching
 Small-scale yard and allotment maintenance
Homeowners looking for an electric alternative to petrol chippers
When it may not be suitable
This electric chipper is not intended for heavy commercial forestry work or continuous industrial use. Very thick logs, root material, frozen wood or metal-contaminated debris may damage the blades or motor and are not recommended. For large-diameter timber or high-volume professional applications, a larger petrol or industrial chipper would be more appropriate.
Key specifications
 Motor power: 2500 W
 Power type: electric (mains-powered)
Intended material: branches, twigs and lightweight garden green waste
Typical use: home and small garden applications
Output form: wood chips suitable for composting and mulching
How to use
Place the Extralink ELT2500 on a stable, level surface and connect it to a suitable mains supply following local electrical safety regulations. Feed branches and garden waste into the inlet according to the manufacturer's safe feed guidelines, avoiding oversized or frozen material. Allow the unit to process the material into chips; stop the machine and disconnect power before clearing jams or performing any maintenance. Use protective gloves and eye protection when operating the chipper, and keep bystanders, especially children and pets, at a safe distance.
What to consider before purchase
Confirm availability of a compatible mains power supply at the intended work location
Assess the typical branch diameter you will process; this model is aimed at small-to-medium branches
Consider transportation and storage space for the unit when not in use
Check local regulations for garden waste processing and noise limits
Usage recommendations
For best results, feed material of uniform size and avoid wet, frozen or metal-contaminated debris. Regularly inspect cutting elements and follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule to ensure consistent performance and long service life.
