## Long description

The fischer stand-off insulation system TherMax 8 is a fixing solution for mounting fixtures on external walls with ETICS (external thermal insulation composite systems) while minimising thermal bridging. The system consists of a stud screw with a glass-fibre-reinforced cone that cuts through the plaster into the insulation and an anti-cold cone at the tip that forms a thermal barrier. During installation the stud screw is rotated into the universal fixing UX, securing the fixing in the building substrate. TherMax 8 is suitable for attaching light loads such as lights, letterboxes and lightning conductors to concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) and both solid and perforated masonry.
Advantages
The stand-off design allows the fixture to be positioned at the exact required distance from the façade, reducing pressure marks and damage to the ETICS. The plastic anti-cold cone provides a thermal break between the exterior and interior fixing to improve energy performance.
