The Fischer TherMax stand-off insulation fixing is a kit for mounting light fixtures and accessories into external walls with ETICS (external thermal insulation composite systems) without creating a thermal bridge. The kit uses a stud screw with a glass-fibre reinforced plastic cone that cuts through the plaster into the insulation and is secured in the base material by rotating into the universal UX plug. An insulating cone at the tip forms a thermal barrier and holds the external fixing. The TherMax system is suitable for attaching lights, letterboxes and lightning conductors to concrete, aerated concrete and masonry including solid and perforated brick.
Advantages
The stand-off design lets the fixture be positioned precisely while avoiding pressure marks and damage to the ETICS. The plastic insulating cone reduces thermal bridging and provides an energy-optimised fixing.
