Fischer 558882 screw is a metal, removable frame adjusting screw 120 mm long with a 5 mm thread diameter and 70 mm thread length, supplied in a pack of 100. Designed for timber constructions and frame assemblies, it enables precise, stepless alignment of attachment parts relative to the substrate and is suitable for wood applications and mounting substructures to ceilings and walls.

How to use
For push-through installation, drive the screw through the attachment part using the correct bit and, if required, the separate setting tool. With the setting tool attached to the bit the screw can be set flush with the surface or slightly countersunk. By using the bit without the setting tool and changing the direction of rotation, the distance between the attachment and substrate can be adjusted steplessly; the countersunk clip remains fixed in the attachment while the screw is rotated. For wooden boards thicker than 30 mm, for hardwoods or for installations near edges, pre-drill a 6 mm diameter hole. For masonry applications use with an appropriate plug such as fischer DuoPower 6x50 or UX 6x50 after pre-drilling a 6 mm hole. Observe application limits stated in ETA-19/0175 where applicable.
