The fischer FID II insulation plug is designed for fastening lightweight attachments to external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) and for use in plasterboard applications. Made from glass fibre reinforced plastic and compatible with standard screws of 3.5–4.5 mm, the plug provides stable anchoring while keeping the plug head minimally visible. Its tip geometry allows screwing through plaster up to 10 mm without pre-drilling in many cases, and installation is performed easily with a standard TX40 bit.

The small head diameter and underhead milling pockets result in a concealed, surface-flush finish even with narrow attachments.
