## Long description

The Fiskars CarbonMax Folding Utility Knife is a versatile cutting tool designed for everyday applications in the household, garden, and on the go. As part of the established CarbonMax product line, this folding utility knife combines practicality with a robust build. It features a durable metal and rubber body that provides a reliable grip and long-lasting performance. The integrated folding mechanism allows the blade to be safely tucked away when not in use, ensuring compact storage in pockets, tool compartments, or backpacks.
Advantages
The knife offers a dependable structure thanks to its combination of metal and rubber materials, which contribute to both structural strength and comfortable handling. Its folding design minimizes the overall footprint during transport and storage while preventing accidental exposure of the cutting edge. This universal knife adapts to various cutting needs, making it a practical addition to standard toolkits or mobile gear.
Suitable for
General household cutting tasks and opening packages
Light garden maintenance and trimming activities
Cutting tasks while traveling, camping, or on the go
Everyday carry in pockets or tool compartments
When it may not be suitable
This folding utility knife is not intended for heavy-duty construction work, prying applications, or continuous professional industrial cutting. It may also be less ideal for users requiring a fixed-blade knife for high-pressure woodworking tasks.
Key specifications
Length: 16 cm
Weight: 0.11 kg
Body material: Metal and rubber
Mechanism: Folding design
How to use
To use the knife, release the folding mechanism to lock the blade securely into the open position. Ensure your fingers are clear of the cutting edge during operation. Apply steady and controlled pressure when cutting materials such as cardboard, packaging, or soft garden stems. Once the task is completed, retract the blade safely into the closed position before storing the tool in a pocket, bag, or designated tool compartment.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that a folding utility knife fits your specific cutting requirements
Consider the physical dimensions and weight of 0.11 kg for your intended carry method
Note that a protective case is not included with this model
Usage recommendations: Keep the blade clean and free from debris to maintain smooth folding operation. Store the knife in a dry place when not in use and replace the blade when it shows signs of dullness to ensure optimal cutting efficiency.
