## Long description

The FRITZ Tabletop Router Box 6850 4G International is a versatile networking solution designed to deliver reliable internet access using both fixed-line Ethernet and mobile broadband networks. Finished in a clean white tabletop design, this router integrates dual-band Wi-Fi 5 technology to support high-speed wireless data transmission up to 1266 Mbit/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. It features built-in support for 4G LTE and 3G mobile networks, making it an efficient choice for areas with limited fixed-line infrastructure or as a dependable failover internet source. Equipped with Gigabit Ethernet ports, it also ensures fast and stable wired connections for desktop computers, smart TVs, and network-attached storage devices.
Advantages
This router provides the flexibility of combining traditional broadband connections with mobile network capabilities through its integrated 4G and 3G modem functionality. The dual-band Wi-Fi 5 support allows multiple devices to connect simultaneously while reducing interference and maintaining optimal throughput. With Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, data transfers within the local network happen quickly and efficiently. The inclusion of MIMO technology enhances wireless coverage and signal stability throughout the home or office environment. Furthermore, the user-friendly web-based management interface allows for straightforward setup, monitoring, and network administration.
Suitable for
Providing internet access in locations without reliable fixed-line broadband
Serving as a primary or backup internet router for home offices
Connecting multiple wired and wireless devices simultaneously
Streaming high-definition video and handling online gaming over Wi-Fi 5
When it may not be suitable
This device may not be ideal for large enterprise environments requiring advanced multi-gigabit routing capabilities or extensive enterprise-grade VPN tunnel management. Users seeking the absolute latest Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 standards for ultra-dense wireless networks might find the Wi-Fi 5 performance insufficient for extreme bandwidth demands.

How to use
To set up the FRITZ Tabletop Router Box 6850 4G International, insert a compatible SIM card into the designated slot if you intend to use mobile broadband, or connect an Ethernet cable from your modem to the WAN port. Plug the included power adapter into an electrical outlet and connect it to the device. Power on the router and wait for the LED indicators to stabilize. Open a web browser on a connected computer or mobile device and navigate to the web-based management address to complete the initial configuration, configure your Wi-Fi network names and passwords, and adjust security settings according to your preferences.
What to consider before purchase
Verify mobile network coverage and band compatibility in your area if you plan to rely primarily on 4G LTE or 3G connectivity
Check the number of wired devices you need to connect against the available Gigabit Ethernet ports
Assess whether Wi-Fi 5 speeds up to 1266 Mbit/s meet your household or office bandwidth requirements
Usage recommendations: Place the router in an elevated, central location away from thick walls and large metal objects to maximize wireless coverage and mobile signal reception. Ensure the device is positioned in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating during continuous heavy data usage.
