The GARDENA smart Sensor is placed in the soil next to a plant to measure soil moisture and soil temperature. It is designed as an extension for the GARDENA smart system Start Set and requires a GARDENA smart Gateway to operate, which is included in the start sets.
Advantages
The sensor measures soil moisture quickly and reliably to enable economical watering by activating irrigation only when necessary. Its compact, modern design allows use anywhere in the garden, in planters, on terraces or balconies. The large sensing zone measures moisture directly at the root zone and works in different types of potting soil. The extra-flat head lets the sensor be positioned in the middle of lawns without obstructing mowing robots or lawnmowers. It transmits measurement data wirelessly to the GARDENA smart Gateway and runs on 2 AA batteries (not included) for operation over a full garden season.
