## Long description

GIRO STOMP BLACK WORDMARK junior ski goggles with an AMBER SCARLET lens (VLT 19–42%, S2) are designed for young skiers and snowboarders who need reliable eye protection and enhanced contrast on the slopes. The goggle combines a frame shaped for smaller faces, an amber-tinted lens that balances light transmission across variable conditions, and a secure strap with visible branding to keep the fit stable during active use.
Advantages
These junior ski goggles offer a balance of visual clarity and protection through an AMBER SCARLET lens with a 19–42% visible light transmission rating and S2 tint suitable for mixed weather. The frame profile is tailored to fit smaller facial proportions comfortably, while foam padding and a flexible strap provide a secure and comfortable fit. The lens tint improves contrast and definition on snowy terrain, helping younger users better perceive contours and obstacles.
Suitable for
Children and teenagers taking part in alpine skiing or snowboarding
Resort and backcountry runs with variable light, where mid-range VLT is required
Daily winter sports use where a comfortable junior-specific fit is needed
When it may not be suitable
Because the AMBER SCARLET lens has a VLT range of 19–42% and an S2 tint classification, it may not provide optimal visibility in very low-light, heavy overcast, or night conditions where higher VLT lenses (S3–S0 classifications) are preferable. Conversely, in extremely bright, sunny alpine conditions a darker lens (lower VLT) could reduce glare more effectively.
Key specifications
 Lens tint: AMBER SCARLET
 Visible Light Transmission (VLT): 19–42%
Tint classification: S2 (mid-range light conditions)
Fit: junior / youth facial profile
Frame padding: multi-layer foam for comfort and seal
Strap: adjustable elastic strap with brand wordmark
How to use
Place the goggles over the face so the foam padding rests comfortably against the skin and the strap sits securely around the head or helmet. Adjust the elastic strap length for a snug but non-restrictive fit. Use the goggles during skiing or snowboarding sessions to protect eyes from wind, snow, and UV exposure while the AMBER SCARLET lens enhances contrast. After use, wipe the lens with a soft microfiber cloth and store in a protective pouch to avoid scratches.
What to consider before purchase
Ensure the junior fit matches the child’s face shape and helmet compatibility
Confirm that a VLT of 19–42% and S2 tint suits the usual light conditions where the goggles will be used
Check for anti-fog and ventilation features appropriate for active use
Plan for protective storage to maintain lens condition
Usage recommendations
For best performance, pair these junior GIRO goggles with a compatible helmet and keep the lens clean and dry. Swap to a higher VLT lens in poor light or a darker lens in very bright conditions to maintain optimal visibility and eye protection.
