## Summary description

The Goobay AVK 220-100 1.0m digital optical audio cable features TOSLINK connectors on both ends for reliable signal transmission. With a length of 1 meter, this black fiber optic cable is designed for connecting audio devices such as soundbars, receivers, and TVs to deliver clear sound quality.

## Long description

The Goobay AVK 220-100 1.0m digital optical audio cable is a reliable solution for transmitting uncompressed digital audio signals between compatible home entertainment components. Featuring standardized TOSLINK connectors on both ends, this 1-meter fiber optic cable ensures a stable connection for your audio setup. It is designed to link devices such as flat-screen televisions, soundbars, AV receivers, and digital-to-analog converters, delivering clear and interference-free sound quality.
Advantages
This optical audio cable utilizes high-quality fiber optic technology to transmit audio signals via light pulses, making the transmission entirely immune to electromagnetic and radio frequency interference. The robust yet flexible cable construction allows for easy routing behind entertainment centers and through tight spaces without compromising signal integrity. Precision-engineered TOSLINK plugs ensure a secure and snug fit into device ports, preventing accidental disconnections and maintaining consistent audio performance.
Suitable for
Connecting a smart TV to an external soundbar for enhanced movie and music audio
Linking a digital audio player or receiver to home theater components
Transmitting multi-channel surround sound from gaming consoles to audio systems
When it may not be suitable
This cable is not compatible with standard 3.5mm auxiliary or analog RCA audio ports, as it requires dedicated optical TOSLINK inputs and outputs. Additionally, the 1-meter length may be too short for setups where connected components are placed far apart from each other.
Key specifications
Cable type: Digital optical audio cable
Connector type: TOSLINK plug to TOSLINK plug
Cable length: 1.0 meter
Cable diameter: 5.0 mm
Color: Black
How to use
Remove the protective plastic caps from both ends of the TOSLINK plugs before installation. Align the plug shape with the optical port on your audio device or television, and gently push the connector straight in until you hear or feel a secure click. Connect the other end of the cable to the corresponding optical input on your soundbar, receiver, or amplifier. Ensure that your source device audio output settings are correctly configured to transmit digital optical audio.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that both your source device and output device feature standard optical TOSLINK ports
Measure the required distance between your devices to ensure the 1-meter length is sufficient
Check available space behind your equipment to accommodate the 5.0 mm cable diameter
Usage recommendations: Handle the fiber optic cable with care by avoiding sharp bends, heavy kinks, or excessive pulling, which can damage the internal optical fiber and affect audio transmission quality.
