## Long description

The Goobay 58856 Cable Gender Changer in black is a compact adapter designed to convert connector genders between telephone receivers and receiver connection cables with RJ10 interfaces. Its short integrated cable and flexible construction allow the adapter to fit standard telephone receivers while maintaining a tidy connection. The adapter is lightweight and durable, intended for straightforward gender conversion in desk phones and similar devices.
Advantages
The integrated 30 mm connection cable offers a compact transition that integrates seamlessly into the receiver cord without creating excess length. A flexible design reduces leverage and stress on the connector, while the ability of the receiver cable to rotate 360° prevents kinking and tangling. The black finish provides a discreet appearance that blends with most telephone handsets and office environments.
Suitable for
Converting RJ10 male to female or female to male on telephone handsets
Connecting receiver cords to commercially available telephone receivers
Replacing broken or incompatible handset connectors without replacing the entire cord
Use in office desks, call centres, home phones, and telephony repair tasks
Key specifications
 Colour: Black
Connector type: RJ10 interface for telephone receivers
Cable length: 30 mm integrated flexible lead
Rotation: Receiver cable can rotate 360° to prevent twisting
Construction: Flexible cable to minimise leverage and stress on connectors
Compatibility: Fits commercially available telephone receivers
How to use
Insert the adapter between the handset connector and the receiver cord by aligning the RJ10 connector and plugging it in until it clicks. Ensure the short 30 mm cable sits neatly along the receiver connection cord to avoid excess slack. If necessary, rotate the receiver cable to achieve the desired orientation; the 360° rotation capability prevents tangling. For removal, gently press the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the plug or socket.
Usage recommendations
Use the adapter in dry indoor environments and avoid applying excessive force when inserting or removing connectors. Regularly inspect the flexible cable and connectors for wear if used frequently in high-activity telephone setups.
