## Summary description

GRACO inlet filter model 183770 is a 3/4" inline filter designed for use in fluid handling and spray systems. It protects pumps and control components by removing particulates from incoming fluid. Suited for installation at the fluid inlet, this filter helps maintain system reliability and reduces wear in paint sprayers, pumps and industrial coating equipment.

## Long description

GRACO inlet filter 3/4" model 183770 is an inline fluid inlet filter designed for use in industrial and commercial fluid handling systems. It removes particulates from incoming fluid to protect pumps, valves and control components in spray equipment and coating systems. The filter is intended for installation at the fluid inlet to reduce contamination-related wear and help maintain consistent equipment performance in paint sprayers, pumps and related machinery.
Advantages
The inlet filter provides mechanical particle retention to limit abrasive wear in downstream components and minimize clogs in spray tips and control valves. Its 3/4" inline design enables straightforward integration into existing fluid lines with minimal modification. By preventing contaminant entry, the filter contributes to longer service intervals and more predictable spray and pump behavior without changing the core equipment design.
Suitable for
Paint sprayers and spray guns in industrial and commercial painting
Fluid pumps and reciprocating equipment requiring particulate protection
Coating application systems and transfer lines for solvents, coatings and similar fluids
Maintenance kits or system upgrades where inline filtration is needed at the fluid inlet
Key specifications
 Connection size: 3/4" inline inlet
Function: particulate filtration for inlet fluid stream
Application area: fluid handling and spray/coating systems
Mounting: inline installation at fluid inlet of pump or control assembly
How to use
Install the inlet filter in the fluid supply line upstream of the pump or control components, ensuring correct flow direction. Secure connections according to the system's standard fittings and torque specifications. Inspect and clean or replace the filter element according to operating conditions and manufacturer maintenance intervals to avoid pressure drop or flow restriction. When handling solvent-based fluids, follow safety procedures for flushing and purging lines before service.
Usage recommendations
Inspect the filter during regular maintenance intervals and after any contamination events. Replace the filter element if pressure drop increases or if visible clogging occurs. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow fluid-specific handling guidelines when servicing the filter to maintain safe operation of the fluid system.
