## Long description

The HELLE GT #36 Scandinavian Design is a compact fixed-blade outdoor utility knife designed for everyday and field use. Its full-tang construction and balanced Scandinavian blade geometry provide precise control for cutting, carving and general bushcraft tasks. The knife’s compact profile and ergonomic handle make it suitable for extended use in camping, hiking and outdoor work where a reliable, easy-to-handle cutting tool is required.
Advantages
The blade’s Scandinavian grind ensures a thin, sharp edge that excels at controlled slicing and carving while remaining easy to sharpen in the field. Full-tang construction delivers strength and consistent balance. The compact size and straightforward shape reduce hand fatigue and improve maneuverability for detailed tasks. Materials and finish are selected to offer corrosion resistance and low maintenance under typical outdoor conditions.
Suitable for
Camping and camp chores such as food preparation and kindling
Hiking and trail use for general cutting and repair tasks
Bushcraft and carving work requiring fine edge control
Everyday outdoor utility and field maintenance
Key specifications
Blade type: fixed full-tang blade with Scandinavian grind
Blade geometry: thin, sharp edge optimized for slicing and carving
Design: compact, ergonomic profile for one-handed control
Intended use: outdoor utility, bushcraft, camping and hiking tasks
Construction: single-piece strength and balanced handling
Finish and maintenance: corrosion-resistant finish for low upkeep in field conditions
How to use
Use the knife with a firm but controlled grip, employing its compact profile for precise cuts and carving strokes. For chopping or batoning, use appropriate safety techniques and protect the edge from impact on hard materials. Keep the edge sharp with regular stropping or honing; when sharpening in the field, follow the blade’s Scandinavian bevel to restore the thin edge. After use in wet or salty conditions, dry the knife and apply a light protective coating to metal surfaces as needed.
Usage recommendations
For safe and effective performance, match tasks to the knife’s strengths: precision cutting, carving and light utility work. Avoid heavy prying or levering that exceeds typical outdoor cutting tasks to preserve the blade and full-tang integrity. Store the knife in a dry sheath when not in use and perform routine edge maintenance to extend service life.
