## Long description

The Hensel ASS 20 M20 cable gland is a professional-grade component engineered for secure cable entry and effective strain relief in electrical enclosures. Finished in black RAL 9005, this gland provides a robust seal that protects internal connections from environmental factors, ensuring long-term operational reliability in various industrial and commercial settings.
Advantages
This cable gland offers exceptional durability due to its high-quality construction and resistance to extreme thermal conditions. With an IP67 protection rating, it provides a complete barrier against dust ingress and temporary immersion in water, making it ideal for harsh environments. The design facilitates easy installation while maintaining a firm grip on the cable to prevent accidental disconnection or damage to the internal wiring.
Suitable for
Industrial electrical distribution boards
Outdoor junction boxes
Control panels and automation systems
Installations requiring high dust and moisture protection
When it may not be suitable
This product is designed specifically for M20 threaded openings and may not be compatible with enclosures requiring different thread sizes or non-standard mounting holes. It is also not intended for high-pressure underwater applications or environments involving aggressive chemical exposure that could degrade the material.
Key specifications

How to use
To install the Hensel ASS 20, insert the cable through the gland body and tighten the cap nut onto the enclosure opening. Ensure that the seal is properly seated to maintain the IP67 rating. Use appropriate tools to tighten the gland sufficiently to secure the cable without over-torquing, which could damage the threads or the sealing gasket.
What to consider before purchase
Verify the required thread size for your specific enclosure
Check the cable diameter to ensure it fits within the gland's clamping range
Confirm the environmental conditions of the installation site
Usage recommendations: Regularly inspect the cable gland during routine maintenance to ensure the nut remains tight and the seal is intact, especially in environments subject to vibration or significant temperature fluctuations.
