The Icy Dock MB982SP-1S 2.5” to 3.5” SATA SSD & HDD Converter is a metal adapter designed to fit into any standard 3.5” internal drive bay, backplane or hot-swap module. It uses the mounting hole positions and connection locations of a 3.5” SATA drive to allow installation of 2.5” SATA SSDs and HDDs, and supports drives with heights from 9.5 mm up to 15 mm using Smart-Fit Technology. The enclosure is constructed from SECC steel with a silver finish and features ventilation openings to aid cooling.
