The cable uses shielded foiled twisted pair with an additional braid (S-FTP) and AWG 26/7 conductors to reduce electromagnetic interference. It is designed for direct device-to-device connections where a crossover wiring is required and is gigabit-compatible for Cat5e Ethernet networks.
Advantages
The shielded S-FTP construction (foil plus braid) improves protection against crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded cables.
