## Summary description

Reinforced pliers by Jonnesway, model AN010185, designed for installing and removing constant velocity (CV) joint clamps and similar hose or shaft clamps. The tool features a strengthened construction for improved durability and reliable grip on metal clamps. Intended for professional mechanics and DIY technicians for automotive CV joint maintenance and clamp manipulation.

## Long description

Jonnesway reinforced pliers AN010185 are a purpose-built hand tool for installing and removing constant velocity (CV) joint clamps and similar ring or ear-style metal clamps. The tool combines a reinforced construction with shaped jaws to provide a reliable grip and controlled force when compressing, spreading or repositioning clamps during automotive CV joint maintenance and related repair tasks.
Advantages
The reinforced design increases durability and reduces deformation under repetitive loads, while hardened jaw faces improve grip on metal clamps to minimize slipping. An ergonomic handle profile allows controlled operation with reduced hand fatigue during repeated use. The tool is compatible with common CV joint clamp geometries, enabling precise manipulation without damaging surrounding components.
Suitable for
Installing and removing CV joint clamps on driveshafts and constant velocity joints
Compressing and opening ear-style or ring clamps on automotive hoses and shafts
General maintenance tasks in professional repair shops and home garages
Key specifications
Reinforced body construction for increased strength and longevity
Shaped, hardened jaws designed for metal clamp engagement
Ergonomic handles for improved control and comfort
Suitable for a range of ear-style and ring-style clamp sizes commonly used on CV joints
Manual, hand-operated pliers without additional power source
How to use
Position the jaws of the pliers around the clamp ear or ring so that the gripping surfaces align with the clamp’s working area. Squeeze the handles steadily to compress or spread the clamp as required—apply force gradually to avoid sudden slips. When removing a clamp, maintain a firm grip and guide the clamp away from adjacent components to prevent damage. When installing, hold the clamp in place while compressing until it seats correctly around the shaft or hose, then release the pliers carefully.
Usage recommendations
Inspect the pliers before use for wear or damage; replace the tool if jaws are significantly worn or handles are compromised. Use appropriate eye protection and follow standard workshop safety practices when working with metal clamps under tension. For best results, select pliers that match the clamp type and size to reduce the risk of clamp deformation or slippage.
