## Long description

The Katadyn BeFree AC 0.9 L water filter bottle in smoke color combines a collapsible reservoir with an integrated hollow-fiber filter to provide on-the-go water purification. Designed for portability, the lightweight bottle holds 0.9 liters and features a replaceable filter that removes bacteria and particulates while maintaining a fast flow rate and simple maintenance. The flexible design compresses when empty to save space in a pack, and the integrated mouthpiece and cap allow for convenient drinking and refilling from lakes, streams, or treated taps.
Advantages
The hollow-fiber technology offers effective removal of bacteria and particulates without complex assembly, and the replaceable cartridge enables long-term use and predictable performance. The collapsible body and low weight reduce carried volume and overall pack weight, while the wide opening and flexible material make the bottle easy to fill and clean. Fast flow characteristics minimize waiting time when drinking directly or filling a container.
Suitable for
Hiking and backpacking where weight and pack space are limited
Travel in areas with uncertain water quality
Everyday use at work, gym, or commuting when quick filtration is needed
Outdoor activities such as cycling, camping, and day trips
Key specifications
Capacity: 0.9 liters
Filter type: integrated hollow-fiber cartridge for bacteria and particulate removal
Material: flexible, collapsible plastic bottle
Color: smoke (dark translucent)
Weight: lightweight design suitable for pack reduction
Maintenance: replaceable filter cartridge, simple backflush or squeezing for cleaning
How to use
Fill the bottle from a water source such as a stream, lake, or treated tap through the wide opening, then secure the cap and drink through the integrated mouthpiece. Squeeze the flexible bottle to force water through the hollow-fiber filter for immediate flow. For routine maintenance, follow the manufacturer’s instructions to backflush or rinse the filter and replace the cartridge when flow rate decreases or according to the recommended service interval.
Usage recommendations
Use the Katadyn BeFree AC bottle with visibly clear or lightly turbid water when possible; pre-filter heavily sedimented water to extend filter life. Store the bottle dry and with the cap open between uses to prevent biological growth in the system. Replace the filter cartridge when flow rate is reduced significantly or after the interval suggested by the manufacturer.
