The Kathrein KAZ 12 Silver protects system components in SAT, CATV and DVB-T reception and distribution systems by providing coarse overvoltage protection. It is intended for installation as close as possible to the house connection and increases the surge discharge capability when used together with the KAZ 11. The device includes a gas discharge tube and allows passage of 22 kHz and DiSEqC signals. Accessories supplied are an EMU 21 earth connection block and two EMK 01 F connectors. Designed for indoor mounting and compliant with EN 61643-21 categories A2/C2/C3/B2/D1, it is suitable for installation according to the lightning arrester zone concept (LPZ 0A-1 and higher).
