## Long description

The KRISBERG Enameled Cast Iron Casserole Pot 28 cm 5.9 L Grey 7721 is a heavy-duty culinary tool designed for reliable everyday cooking and baking. Featuring a durable enameled cast iron body, this grey casserole pot provides exceptional heat distribution and retention to ensure evenly cooked meals every time. With a generous capacity of 5.9 liters and a 28-meter diameter, it accommodates large family portions with ease.
Advantages
This enameled cast iron casserole pot excels at maintaining consistent temperatures, making it a dependable choice for recipes that require prolonged cooking times. The smooth enameled surface prevents food from reacting with the metal and simplifies the cleaning process compared to traditional untreated cast iron. Its robust construction ensures long-lasting durability across frequent culinary tasks, while the snug-fitting lid locks in moisture and natural flavors for enhanced tasting results.
Suitable for
Slow cooking stews and braises
Roasting meats and vegetables in the oven
Simmering hearty soups and broths
Baking crusty artisan bread
When it may not be suitable
This heavy cast iron pot might not be ideal for individuals who require lightweight cookware for effortless single-handed lifting. Additionally, its large dimensions may prove cumbersome for storage in compact kitchens or for cooking very small single-serving portions.
Key specifications
Material: Enameled cast iron
Diameter: 28 cm
Capacity: 5.9 L
Color: Grey
Hob compatibility: All types including induction, gas, electric, and ceramic
How to use
Place the casserole pot on a matching hob size and heat it gradually on low to medium settings to prevent thermal shock. Always use oven mitts when handling the pot during or after heating, as the cast iron handles become very hot. When cooking in the oven, ensure the internal temperature aligns with the manufacturer limits of enameled cast iron cookware. Clean the pot with warm soapy water and a soft sponge once it has cooled down completely, avoiding harsh abrasive pads to protect the enamel finish.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your oven interior and stovetop burners can accommodate a 28 cm diameter pot
Assess whether the weight of cast iron cookware suits your physical handling preferences
Confirm compatibility with your specific kitchen hob type
Allow the casserole pot to cool naturally before washing, and dry thoroughly after cleaning to maintain its surface quality over years of use.
